The mystery surrounding this ranch took another dramatic turn recently when owner Brandon Fugal said that his team extracted a mass of extracted manufactured material buried hundreds of feet inside the ranch’s rocky mesa. Fugal told American Alchemy podcast host Jesse Michels that the drilling yielded heat-resistant ceramic fragments and unusual metals.

The drilling equipment used by Fugal's team initially hit a strange object underground before it extracted material that did not match the landscape. Fugal is certain that there is something else under the mesa that is not part of the natural world.

The recent discoveries have led many UFO enthusiasts to speculate that a UFO or other types of secret technology could be buried deep in the mesa. The Skinwalker Ranch has been frequently linked to reports of UFOs, unexplained illnesses, technology and equipment failures, cattle mutilations, and more.

History of Skinwalker Ranch

Working as a real estate developer, Fugal purchased the ranch in 2016 from billionaire aerospace entrepreneur Robert Bigelow. The ranch has since been turned into an outdoor laboratory known for its close monitoring and unusual revelations.

Scientists first drilled into the mesa in 2021 after radar signaled the possibility of voids and an odd underground formation not consistent with the rest of the natural landscape. Fugal said that while the initial drilling was intended to debunk the myths of UFO or paranormal activity, instead the researchers found a debris field that did not match what you would expect with the terrain of this region.

Fugal noted that his drilling crews experienced significant equipment failures when trying to penetrate the ground, lending credence to the thought that something mysterious is happening beneath the surface. According to Fugal, his crews have been extremely careful not to disturb what may be inside the mesa. Fugal said, "Imagine if there’s a Stargate within the mesa. There’s some advanced technology that is behind or involved with the phenomena that we’re seeing… you don’t want to damage the very thing that you hope to unearth."

Compounding the eerie discovery is a claim by Fugal that cameras have detected an unexplained mass hovering above the ranch. Fugal and his team believe that the detection could signal the presence of UFOs in the area, leading them to worry that their work is being monitored.

Fugal invites skeptics to examine his team's work, saying that "We’re led by the data, not an inherited narrative."
