University of Del. Student Planning Attack Afghan-Born
A University of Delaware student, Luqmaan Khan, has been arrested for allegedly plotting an attack on campus police, armed with an array of weapons and body armor. Originally from Afghanistan, Khan spent part of his childhood as a refugee in Pakistan before naturalizing in the U.S. Reports indicate that he had a notebook detailing his violent intentions, expressing beliefs in martyrdom. Following his arrest, further searches revealed additional unregistered firearms at his residence. Khan is currently in federal custody, facing charges related to illegal weapon possession as the investigation continues.

Upon searching his vehicle, authorities found a handgun, several 27-round magazines, body armor, and equipment that could convert the handgun into a semi-automatic rifle.
Khan's notebook contained plans for attacking the University of Delaware's campus police, featuring alarming phrases like 'kill all — martyrdom,' which he later confirmed reflected his beliefs.
A search of Khan's residence in Wilmington yielded more weapons, including an AR-style rifle, a pistol modified for automatic fire, and numerous loaded magazines, all of which were unregistered.
