Wendy’s Frosty Frights Are Back With 12 New Halloween Collectibles
There are tiny monsters hiding in Wendy's Kids' Meals again.
Frosty Frights returned on September 14th with a dozen new collectibles, and Wendy's has given us everything from a chocolate knight to a chilly Bigfoot this season.
Technically, there are only six different characters. But, each one has an alternate Halloween look. That means, if you’re determined to collect every version, you now have 12 reasons to order some nuggets.
There Are Six Monsters and 12 Ways to Find Them
This year's Frosty Frights lineup has six wonderfully ridiculous names:
Numb Chuck
Sir Choc-O-Lot
E.A.T.
Cold Foot
Shiver Wing
Taranchilla
Each one has a second color variation, doubling the complete collection from six to 12.
We're particularly fond of Sir Choc-O-Lot, who appears to have accepted the noble responsibility of defending the kingdom one Frosty at a time.
The toy isn't the only thing tucked into the meal, either. Each Frosty Fright has its own little trading card and stickers, while the Kids' Meal packaging got a Halloween makeover for the occasion.
There's even a Frosty Frights book available for Wendy's youngest monster hunters.
Number 13 Is Hiding Somewhere Else
Twelve would make a perfectly respectable Halloween collection. Naturally, Wendy's chose 13.
The final Frosty Fright won't turn up by opening enough Kids' Meals, though. Wendy's is reserving that mystery collectible for its Rewards program. Members will eventually be able to pursue it through one of the special merchandise releases offered through the Wendy's app.
The company didn’t reveal all the details when it announced the Halloween collection, so, if you’re determined to collect all 13, you’ll need to keep an eye on your phone.
That's an impressive amount of suspense for something Frosty-sized.
A Dollar Can Buy Five Future Frostys
There's another Halloween tradition happening at Wendy's, and this one’s been around longer than the little monsters. You can purchase a Boo! Book for $1, and each one will come with coupons for five free Jr. Frostys.
There's also a coupon for a $1.99 Kids' Meal with another purchase.
And most of that dollar will go beyond the drive-thru. For every U.S. Boo! Book purchased, 90 cents will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and its work helping children in foster care find permanent families.
Wendy's has been running the annual fundraiser since 2003, and nearly $40 million has been raised for the foundation over the years. Five Frostys for a dollar was already a pretty sweet proposition. This makes it even sweeter.
Suddenly, We All Need the Chocolate Knight
Fast-food Kids' Meal toys have a way of awakening a very specific part of the brain. We may be fully functioning adults with appointments, bills, and a respectable number of throw pillows. But, put a tiny chocolate knight in front of us and, suddenly, completing the set seems extremely important.
The 2026 Frosty Frights won't be hanging around forever, and participating restaurants will only have them while their supplies last.
Still, there are 12 little monsters to find. And, somewhere beyond the Kids' Meal box, number 13 is patiently waiting for us.
